1. The working principle of circular arc gear pump:
Circular arc gear pump is a kind of positive displacement pump, which consists of two gears, the pump body and the front and back cover to form two closed spaces. When the gears rotate, the volume of space on the side of the gear disconnecting becomes small and large, forming a vacuum, by inhaling the liquid, the volume of space on the meshing side of the gear will be reduced from large to small, and the liquid will be squeezed into the pipeline. The suction cavity and the discharge cavity are separated by the meshing line of two gears. The pressure of the outlet of gear pump completely depends on the resistance of the outlet of the pump.
Circular arc gear pump relies on the change and movement of the working volume between the pump cylinder and the meshing gear to transport or pressurize the liquid. The structure and working principle of the external meshing double gear pump: a pair of gear with mutual meshing and the pump cylinder separate the suction cavity from the discharge cavity. When the gear rotates, the volume of the intertooth at the place where the wheel teeth of the suction cavity are separated from each other gradually increases, the pressure decreases, and the liquid enters the intertooth under the effect of differential pressure. With the rotation of the gear, the liquid between the teeth is taken to the discharge cavity. At this time, the volume between teeth at the meshing position of the wheel tooth at the side of the discharge cavity gradually shrinks, and then the liquid is discharged.
2. The application of gear pump:
It is suitable for transporting lubricating liquid with no solid particles, no corrosion and large viscosity range. The flow of the pump can reach 300 meters3/Hour, the pressure can reach 3 × 107 Pa. It is usually used as hydraulic pump and conveying all kinds of oil products.
3. Matters needing attention when using gear pump:
The gear pump is simple and compact in structure, easy to manufacture, convenient to maintain and has the ability of self-priming, but the flow and pressure pulse are large and the noise is big. Gear pump must be equipped with safety valve to prevent damage to the pump or prime mover due to some reason such as the outlet pressure of the pump exceeds the allowable value due to the blocking of the discharge pipe.
