Air separation equipment has the characteristics of accurate gas consumption calculation, stable and reliable operation, high gas quality requirements, significant equipment features, and obvious technological development trends in steel matching.
The characteristics of air separation equipment in steel matching are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1. Gas consumption calculation: Steel companies can calculate the total oxygen consumption equivalent to hourly oxygen consumption based on the specifications and smelting level of the converter. During low and peak periods, ball irrigation or liquid vaporization is used to balance, and the gas pressure in the peripheral comprehensive pipeline network is higher than the final gas point pressure, which is sent to users through a pressure regulating station.
2. Blast furnace oxygen enriched coal injection: The air separation equipment provides oxygen enriched coal injection for the blast furnace, which is basically the average amount. Based on this, the gas consumption of the entire enterprise is calculated as the basis for selecting the air separation device.

6. Oxygen purity: With the improvement of product grade and technical equipment in steel enterprises, the requirements for gas quality are becoming increasingly high. When the purity of oxygen is below 99.2%, oxygen cannot be supplied.
7. Nitrogen purity: The nitrogen used for blast furnace protection requires a purity of 99.99% or higher.
8. The role of argon gas: Argon gas plays a crucial role in the quality of steel, especially high carbon steel.
9. Modularity and maintainability: Modern air separation equipment may adopt modular design for easy installation and maintenance.
10. High degree of automation: Air separation equipment is usually equipped with advanced control systems to achieve automated operation and monitoring, reduce manual intervention, and improve operational efficiency.
