Answer: The following safety should be paid attention to when contacting nitrogen:

Nitrogen is colorless, odorless and odorless lazy gas. It does no harm to human body, but when the nitrogen content in the air increases, it reduces the oxygen content, which makes people have difficulty breathing. If you absorb pure nitrogen, you will be suffocated due to severe anoxia and die. In order to avoid the increase of nitrogen content in the air in the workshop, the nitrogen in the oxygen generation unit should not be discharged indoors. When there is a large amount of nitrogen, you should wear oxygen respirator. When repairing nitrogen-filling equipment, containers and pipelines, air should be used for replacement first, and work is allowed only after the oxygen content is analyzed to be qualified. During the overhaul, the nitrogen valve should be strictly guarded to prevent personal accidents caused by opening the valve by mistake.

Special pressure-bearing equipment generally bears internal pressure, that will cause tensile stress inside the shell, which is called working stress. The working stress is directly proportional to the pressure and diameter, and inversely proportional to the vessel wall thickness. The axial stress is half of the circumferential stress. Therefore, for cylindrical vessels, the stress of longitudinal weld is twice that of girth weld. Because the geometric shape of the spherical shell is symmetrical to the spherical center, and the axial stress is equal to the circumferential stress in numerical value. Therefore, the wall thickness of the spherical vessel can be reduced by half as much as that of the cylindrical vessel under the same pressure and diameter.
