Before the molecular sieve purifier, in order to reduce the temperature of the process air into the purifier, full low pressure oxygen generator is mostly equipped with nitrogen and water pre-cooling system, which includes air cooling tower and water cooling tower. In the air cooling tower, the air from below, led from the top of the tower, into the molecular sieve purifier, water from the top of the tower spray and air contact, mixing and cooling the air, air cooling tower is set up with a number of flow-through sieve plate or filler to increase the air-liquid contact area. In order to water separation at the top of the tower with a water capture layer, when the air cooling tower in the air flow rate is too fast, too much water or spray too much water, the water level automatic adjustment failure, it will cause the molecular sieve purifier into the water accident occurs.
When the molecular sieve purifier is fed with water, the pressure of the molecular sieve fluctuates suddenly high and low, the resistance of the adsorber rises, and the curves change after heating and cold blowing. The most obvious of these is the temperature drop after cold blowing and the appearance of a flat head peak. The longer the curve distance of the flat head peak, the more water is fed into the molecular sieve.
In order to prevent the molecular sieve purifier from water ingress accidents, pay attention to the operation:
① The air cooling tower should be operated according to the operating procedures, first pass into the gas, and then pass into the water after the pressure rises and stabilises;
② can not suddenly increase or decrease the amount of gas;
③Keep the water level of the air cooling tower;
④The water spraying volume should not be too large;
⑤ The water quality should meet the requirements, reduce the temperature of incoming water, and reduce the scale.
