There are many valves in the air separation plant, and the following management and requirements are required for valve installation and maintenance.
Low temperature valves, valves on oxygen pipelines and valves in contact with oxygen medium must be free of oil, grease and any other impurities. When using, maintaining and repairing these valves, special attention should be paid to ensure that this point is not contaminated with oil, grease, wax and other flammable materials. If they have been in contact with oil, grease and other flammable materials, they should be degreased. The valve gasket, sealing packing and sealing ring must also be free of oil and grease, and must be made of non combustible materials suitable for oxygen valves. It is strictly forbidden to use oil-containing wax impregnation and combustible materials. The visible surface of the valve stem must be kept clean, and the surface of the valve stem should be regularly coated with a lubricant suitable for oxygen valves.
Check the leakage of the valve. Low temperature valves, oxygen pipelines and valves in contact with oxygen media must be cleaned and degreased strictly before installation. The solvents used for cleaning and degreasing must also be free of oil, grease and any other impurities. Decomposed solutions are not allowed. During the installation of valves, all solid substances such as slag, iron oxide scale, rust, welding slag, explosives (including grease, preservatives, etc.) must be removed from the installation of all valves.
In the process of equipment manufacturing and installation, DEAR air separation has detailed management and maintenance requirements for valves and special valves to ensure the high-quality operation of the equipment.
