Since the successful development of the first set of high-purity nitrogen air separation unit in China in 1978, the R & D breakthrough of domestic nitrogen production equipment has closely followed the pace of foreign countries, and has achieved leapfrog development in recent decades. At the same time, China's nitrogen production market also shows an upward trend year by year, and the demand for nitrogen product quantity and product purity have been further improved. At present, the equipment in the common nitrogen market can be fully localized, and the ultra-high purity nitrogen air separation unit is also a new challenge faced by the gas separation industry.

 

Pure nitrogen is mainly used in oil field nitrogen injection, petrochemical industry, synthetic fiber, synthetic ammonia, float glass, steel rolling and electronic industry. The scale of nitrogen production air separation unit for nitrogen injection in oil field is the largest. The scale of nitrogen production air separation unit for petrochemical industry, synthetic fiber, synthetic ammonia, float glass, steel rolling, etc. generally ranges from thousands to tens of thousands. The product purity is required to contain oxygen of 2 ∽ 100ppm, and the product pressure is generally 1.35 ∽ 31bar. Some equipment needs standby liquid nitrogen, which is required to ensure uninterrupted product supply. The scale of nitrogen production units in the electronic industry is small, generally from hundreds to thousands, but the product purity requirements are the highest. Generally, the oxygen content is required to be less than 1ppm, and there are high requirements for the content of CO and H2 in the product. The product pressure is 3 ∽ 10bar. The product supply is required to be uninterrupted and there is standby liquid nitrogen.

In the process of operation, especially in the start-up and shutdown of the air separation unit, one-way force should be avoided on the instrument. During the start-up of the equipment, close the high pressure and low pressure valves firstly, then open the balance valve, and then slowly open the high pressure (or low pressure) valve, so that the measured medium can enter the positive (negative) pressure chamber of the transmitter. If the liquid is to be measured, the gas in the positive (negative) pressure chamber should be discharged from the upper vent. If the gas is measured, drain the liquid accumulated in the positive (negative) pressure chamber from the lower drain screw hole.
