Why can't there be pressure in the cylinder before the air compressor is started?

The starting characteristic of the motor driving the air compressor indicates that: when the motor starts, the starting current is several times larger than the current in normal operation. Strong starting current has a great influence on the motor itself, the transformer and the transmission line. Therefore, we must shorten the starting time and reduce the starting current as much as possible. No-load start is an effective measure to ensure this requirement.
Based on this requirement of electric motor, there should be no pressure in the air compressor before starting. If there is pressure in the cylinder, the starting torque will become larger. In this way, the starting current of the motor will be larger than that of no-load starting, which will easily cause motor overload or power grid accident. Therefore, when the compressor is started, the pressure of pressure gauge at all levels should be checked. If there is air storage, first of all, let out the air and discharge the pressure.
