The working pressure of all low pressure air separation plant is about 0.6MPa, therefore, the refrigerating capacity of throttling effect is very small. For the processed air per cubic meter, it is only 1.36kj/m3. While the cooling loss of the unit is 4.2 ~ per cubic meter of processed air ~ 7.5kj/m3, incomplete loss of heat exchange when the temperature difference of Heat end is 3℃, it is about 3.9kj/m3. Therefore, for the air separation plant which does not produce liquid products, the total Cold loss is 8.1 ~ 11. 4kJ/m3. Thus it can be seen that most of the total Cold loss needs to be made up by the refrigeration of the expansion machine, and the required refrigeration capacity of the expansion machine is 6.74 ~ 10. 04kJ/m3, accounting for 83% of the total refrigerating capacity ~ 88%. It is generally considered that, under normal working conditions, the refrigerating capacity of the expansion machine accounts for about 85% of the total refrigerating capacity of the full low-pressure oxygen generator ~ 90%, the refrigerating capacity of throttling effect accounts for 10% ~ 15%.
When the device is started or some liquid products are produced, it is totally made up by increasing the refrigerating capacity of the expansion machine, which will take up a larger proportion at this time.
