Liquid oxygen is a low-temperature, strongly combustible substance. There is a large amount of liquid oxygen stored in the liquid oxygen tank. In addition to preventing leakage and low-temperature burns, one should also be vigilant about the danger of explosion. Although the liquid oxygen from the air separation equipment should be basically free of hydrocarbons, after long-term use, trace amounts of hydrocarbons may still concentrate and accumulate in the storage tank, and under certain conditions, explosion accidents may occur. Therefore, the following issues should be noted when using:
1) The liquid level in the liquid oxygen tank shall not be lower than 20% at any time;
2) The acetylene content in the liquid oxygen in the tank should be analyzed according to the prescribed deadline (such as once every two weeks), and any abnormalities should be promptly resolved by taking measures;
3) The liquid in the tank cannot be left unused for a long time. It should be filled and discharged regularly to avoid the concentration of harmful impurities such as acetylene.
