The degreasing agent for air separation equipment pipelines and equipment should be selected first, as degreasing agents have toxicity or explosiveness. When using them, attention should be paid to preventing poisoning and the formation of explosive mixtures.
The following types of degreasers are applicable: 1) Carbon tetrachloride, toxic, suitable for cast iron parts, steel, alloy steel parts, and copper parts. 2) 95% ethanol, flammable and explosive, suitable for aluminum parts. 3) Alkaline cleaning, heating 10% sodium hydroxide solution to 60-90 ° C, then neutralizing with 1% nitric acid and rinsing with clean water, suitable for pipelines with high oil pollution.
There are four commonly used degreasing methods: infusion method, circulation method, steam condensation method, and wiping method. The quality of degreasing can be verified based on the relative increase in oil content in the degreasing agent after degreasing. The general qualified standard for degreasing of internal surfaces is that the relative increase in oil content in the degreaser during re cleaning should not exceed 20mg/L. The qualified standard for degreasing on exposed surfaces is to wipe the degreased surface with white filter paper, and no oil stains can be seen on the paper.
