The packing needs continuous improvement to increase the mass transfer efficiency of the packing. The improvement of packing generally starts from two aspects: on the one hand, increase the gas flow area or increase the gas disturbance by opening holes on the corrugated plate to improve the separation ability. On the other hand, it is to increase the specific surface area and improve the wettability of the filler surface. Pressing special texture on the corrugated metal sheet can increase the specific surface area. In the process of making the filler, special treatment can be carried out on the filler surface to improve the wettability.

If the heat and mass exchange of the leaked liquid is not sufficient, the purity of oxygen and nitrogen will be greatly affected, and even the normal production can not be realized. Therefore, the minimum allowable load of distillation column is generally specified.
