The factors affecting the kinetic adsorption capacity are:
(1) Temperature, dynamic adsorption capacity decreases with the increase of temperature.
(2) Pressure, the partial pressure of the adsorbate is also high when the pressure is high, that is, the concentration increases, and the number of molecules that collide with the adsorbent surface per unit time increases, so the probability of being adsorbed increases. Therefore, the static and dynamic adsorption capacity will increase with the increase of pressure.
(3) The flow rate of the fluid is high, the retention time of the adsorbate in the adsorption bed is too short, the adsorption effect is poor, the mass transfer area is increased, and the dynamic adsorption capacity is small. However, the flow rate is too low, and the gas volume processed by the purification equipment per unit time is small.
(4) The degree of regeneration of adsorbent. The more thorough the desorption (or regeneration) of adsorbent, the greater the adsorption capacity in the adsorption process.
(5) The height of adsorbent bed has a minimum value when the amount of adsorbent is certain. The cross-section of the adsorber is reduced and the height is increased, which is beneficial to improve the adsorption capacity. However, with the increase of gas flow rate, the resistance increases, and the adsorption wall effect has a great impact. Once the flow rate is too fast, the retention time of the gas is less than the adsorption time, and the adsorption capacity will drop to zero. No matter what kind of adsorber, it is very necessary to ensure that the adsorption bed has sufficient height.
