In the condensation evaporator the liquid oxygen is heated to evaporate and the gas nitrogen is cooled and condensed. Both the liquid oxygen and the gas nitrogen are in a saturated state. If the saturation temperature of nitrogen is lower than the saturation temperature of oxygen at the same pressure, the purpose of condensing gas and nitrogen with liquid oxygen cannot be achieved. For this reason the heat transfer temperature difference in the condensing evaporator in small air separation unitmust be established by the pressure difference. Raising the pressure in the lower tower to increase the saturation temperature of the nitrogen is the only way to achieve a suitable heat transfer temperature difference between the liquid oxygen and the gas nitrogen and to achieve the purpose of condensing the gas nitrogen with liquid oxygen in small air separation unit.
