Before installation of piping for liquid air separation plant, oxygen piping should be subjected to strict acid cleaning and degreasing in accordance with the national standard "Safety Technical Regulations for the Production of Oxygen and Related Gases by Deep Freezing", and then blown clean with dry air or nitrogen without oil.
When the oxygen pipeline has not been put into operation for a long time after installation and construction, it should be protected with dry gas to prevent humid air from entering and making the pipeline rusty. Oxygen pipeline construction of small air separation unit should be completed after a tight blowing, pressure testing and gas tightness test. Oxygen blowing is strictly prohibited. Oxygen pipeline welding should be used argon gourd welding, and upgrade processing according to national standards. Pipeline cleaning is very important to prevent fires in the oxidiser system. Contaminants include strange types, organic films, particles and metal debris. Contaminants in the system are most likely to ignite and are the start of the ignition chain. Cleaning agents include: aqueous (cleaners, alkalis and acids), solvents, sanding. Cleaning techniques include: immersion (dipping), liquid rinsing, through balling, rinsing with pressure, rubbing or brushing, vapour degreasing, gas blowing, grit blasting etc. The components pipes are cleaned first and then assembling them. If contaminants can be seen by eyes that means the cleaning is not qualified. The cleaned piping needs to be protected tightly.
Dear Air Separation has the appropriate qualifications and experience in the construction of oxygen piping in large air separation plant, and the strict implementation of technical measures to ensure that the installation of high quality requirements.
