Principles of air filtration

In the process of air separation, raw air must be pretreated to produce qualified products such as oxygen, nitrogen and argon.

There is a lot of dust in the air. For the air turbine compressor in high-speed operation for a long time, the dust will cause wear, corrosion and scaling of the internal parts of the machine, and shorten the service life of the machine. Therefore, the raw air filter must be set.

Inertial impact: the smaller particles can pass through the micropores of the filter element, but the path through the filter medium is tortuous, and the particles have enough mass and momentum to collide with the filter element fiber and be blocked and trapped.

Brownian diffusion: very small particles with very small mass collide with the filter fiber during Brownian motion diffusion with the air flow and are filtered out.

Direct blocking: when the dust particles larger than 1 micron pass through the micropores of the filter media, they are directly blocked and blocked because the particle diameter is larger than the micropore diameter, so as to achieve the purpose of removing impurities.

Gravity sedimentation: the dust particles are constantly gathering until their mass becomes large enough. Under the action of gravity, they fall to the bottom of the filter or are discharged by the ash discharge valve.

Generally, the actual cooling capacity of expander is always less than the theoretical cooling capacity. Under the same inlet and outlet pressure and inlet gas temperature, the lower the efficiency of expander, the smaller the unit refrigerant cooling capacity and the smaller the temperature drop efficiency of expander. The efficiency of expander depends on the size of various losses inside the expander. Due to the existence of various losses, the ability of gas to do external work is reduced in varying degrees. To sum up, the losses mainly include the following aspects: 1. When the air flow passes through the work wheel and the deflector, the loss caused by friction and air flow impact on the runner surface is called flow loss. 2. When the impeller is rotating, the friction heat generated by the gas around the wheel disc will increase the temperature of the gas, which is called friction blast loss. 3. When the gas passes through the deflector, the leakage from the gap bet
