Test process of stainless steel pipe in air separation unit

First, check the appearance of the pipeline to confirm that all pipelines are:

1) Arrange the construction according to the design, and mark the type of gas.

2) All materials used conform to the requirements.

3) The welding of the pipeline is in accordance with the specification, and the angle is free from misalignment, inclination and distortion.

4) There is no dirt left in the pipeline.

5) The pipeline has no defects such as depression and crack.

Then the pressure holding test is carried out

1) Open the end valves of all gas lines.

2) Close the end valve of the gas pipeline to be tested.

3) Fill the gas pipeline to be tested with N2 to a certain pressure and observe for five minutes to see if the pressure gauge drops.

4) If the pressure gauge does not drop, it means that the pipeline connection is correct. If there is no drop phenomenon, open the end valve of the gas pipeline to be tested to judge whether the pressure gauge will drop to zero. If it drops to zero, it means that the pressure gauge has no problem. Then pipeline pressure test and air tightness test are carried out

1) Use 0.1 μ Pressure test the nitrogen or pN2 system filtered by M filter.

2) The design value of pressure and pressurization time should be in accordance with the design requirements.

3) After the pipeline is filled with the gas of the specified pressure, check all the connected and welded parts, and use the leak detection fluid to detect the leakage, maintain a certain pressure in the pipeline and make records.

4) Record any outliers found.

5) Record the data read by the pressure gauge in use.

6) After the completion of the pressure test, start the air tightness test.
