The main purpose of the purification system of air separation equipment is to effectively remove water, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons and other impurities in the air through molecular sieves and other adsorbent materials, in order to ensure the safe operation of the air separation plant.
The main facilities of air separation equipment purification system:
1, molecular sieve adsorber: the core equipment of the purification system, usually equipped with two molecular sieve adsorber (one adsorption, one regeneration), in order to achieve the purpose of continuous purification of air. The molecular sieve adsorber is equipped with molecular sieve adsorbent and activated alumina inside, which is used to adsorb water, carbon dioxide and acetylene and other impurities in the air. Molecular sieve adsorber can adopt vertical axial flow, horizontal double bed or vertical radial flow and other structural forms, in order to adapt to the needs of different sizes of air separation equipment.
2, steam heater: used to heat the regeneration gas (such as dirty nitrogen), in order to improve the regeneration efficiency. The heating temperature is usually controlled between 150℃ and 180℃, and can reach 220℃ to 250℃ for high temperature activation.
3, gas-liquid separator: used to separate the liquid moisture in the regeneration gas to prevent it from entering the molecular sieve adsorber.
The main facilities of the air separation equipment purification system adsorber, electric heaters, piping, valves, instrumentation and electronic control, as well as molecular sieve and activated alumina and other adsorption materials. These facilities work together to achieve effective removal and purification of impurities in the air.
