1) Main functions
Cool the moist air after pressurization of the air compressor and further wash away impurities such as microparticle dust and some water-soluble substances (NH3, SO2, etc.) in the air. The air cooled by the air cooling tower is approximately saturated with humid air. According to the working characteristics of the purification system, the lower the temperature of the humid air exiting the air cooling tower, the lower the water content, which is more conducive to reducing the adsorption load of the purification system.
2) Working principle and process
The air cooling tower is divided into two sections, the lower section is cooled by circulating water, and the upper section is cooled by chilled water. The cooling water and chilled water are directly used to exchange heat with moist air on the loose packing to reduce the temperature of the humid air. Cooling water is introduced from the lower part of the air cooling tower, while chilled water is introduced from the upper part of the air cooling tower. The cooling water comes from the factory's cooling water supply network pool, which is pressurized by the cooling water pump and introduced. After heat exchange, it is collected at the bottom of the air cooling tower and returned to the cooling water return network. Frozen water comes from a circulating water tank, which comes into contact with dry sewage nitrogen in the water cooling tower. It uses the latent heat of water vaporization to achieve cooling, and then further lowers the temperature through an ammonia freezer. It is then pressurized and introduced into the chilled water pump. A water collector is installed at the top of the air cooling tower to separate the free water carried in the air.
