Measures to ensure yield and purity in the distillation process of small air separation unit

The remote intelligent monitoring system developed independently by DEAR Air Separation realises the intelligent management of the whole process between the production site of the small air separation units, large air separation units and liquid air separation plants and the remote monitoring terminal, and the system monitors the operational data of the small air separation units, large air separation units and liquid air separation plants in real time. In order to ensure the yield and purity of the product, the following measures are to be taken during distillation.

  1. To correctly determine the position of the inlet and extraction ports to ensure the number of plates normally separated.
  2. To extract liquid nitrogen in the lower tower and dirty nitrogen in the upper tower, which allows a portion of argon to be extracted with the dirty nitrogen and facilitates oxygen and nitrogen separation; it also increases the reflux ratio in the upper part of the lower tower and the auxiliary tower, which facilitates the distillation working conditions.

If the heat and mass exchange of the leaked liquid is not sufficient, the purity of oxygen and nitrogen will be greatly affected, and even the normal production can not be realized. Therefore, the minimum allowable load of distillation column is generally specified.
