In the liquid air separation plant, the cooled refrigerant goes to the air machine through the refrigerant delivery pipeline, and the intercooler cools the compressed air to around 10°C, improving the efficiency of the air compressor and reducing the energy consumption of the air compressor. The air separation unit uses circulating nitrogen to recycle and utilise the CNG cold through a heat exchanger, which in turn liquefies the air to transfer the cold to the liquid air separation plant, and the cold is transferred to the air compressor system through a suitable refrigerant. Using the cold energy of LNG to produce liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and liquid helium can significantly reduce electricity and water consumption by more than 90%. The transfer of cold through the raw material air avoids leakage of methane into the separation system and provides a high degree of safety. The lower tower extracts liquid nitrogen and oxygen-liquid air, increasing the reflux ratio of the upper tower, so that the air separation unit does not reduce the extraction rate due to the liquefaction of the raw material air.
Innovative research and development of liquid air separation plants is the cornerstone of a company to maintain lasting competitiveness. Taking Kaifeng Dear Air Separation as an example, innovative R&D is the reason why it has strong R&D strength and has advanced technology of large air separation unit that is in line with international standards and even leads the world in some fields.
