Grid frequency or voltage drop
Combined with the compressor machine side voltage meter and electrical system background microcomputer found that during the operation of the compressor grid voltage and frequency are not significantly decreased, the external network power supply system is more stable, so the motor and compressor speed is judged to be a constant value.
Increase in suction temperature at any level
When the suction temperature of any level rises, the gas density decreases, which will cause the suction volume to decrease and eventually affect the exhaust volume of the unit.
Leaking coolers
If the cooler leaks, the cooling water in the low-pressure cooler enters the air side pass and is further entrained by the airflow into the impeller and diffuser, causing scaling and blockage over time and reducing the air flow. To verify whether there are leaks in the coolers, the condensate discharged from the blow-off valves of the cooler stages is continuously monitored by laboratory tests.
The hardness of the condensate from the first and second section coolers of the air compressor exceeded the standard, which indicated that there was a leak inside the first and second section coolers. The leaking circulating cooling water entrained by the airflow enters the second stage impeller, and the water evaporates rapidly under the high temperature and high pressure working environment, and the precipitated calcium and magnesium plasma precipitates and accumulates on the internal runner surface of the second stage impeller, causing the circulation area to be reduced and the air intake of the air compressor to be reduced.
The air compressors developed by Dear Air Separation have reduced carbon emissions and saved customers nearly $10 million in annual operating costs.
