The applicable range of the working temperature of the molecular sieve is generally 8 ~ 15℃, within this range can work normally, once beyond this range, it will increase the load, reduce the adsorption effect and even lose the adsorption effect.
When the refrigerator breaks down, the temperature when the air enters the molecular sieve adsorber rises, and the saturated water content in the air also increases. If it still operates according to the original set adsorption cycle, in the late period of the adsorption cycle, a large amount of carbon dioxide will not be cleared, and will be brought into the main heat exchanger and the distillation column, which will block the main heat exchanger and the liquid purifier and increase the resistance of the distillation column. When it is serious, it must stop running and heat it completely again.
As for the unit with hydrofining argon, once the cooler stops running, the production of argon will stop immediately.
In order to avoid the blocking of the air separation system, the air volume can be reduced properly during the period of the failure of the cooler to reduce the load of the adsorber; the adsorption period can be shortened to ensure the work within the allowable range of the adsorption capacity; pay attention to monitor the content of carbon dioxide in the air of the adsorber outlet under 1×10-6. At the same time, reduce the nitrogen flow of products appropriately, increase the nitrogen flow of decontamination nitrogen cooling tower, so as to reduce the temperature of cooling water as much as possible; increase the flow of ordinary cooling water and other measures. Taking these measures, the air separation unit can still maintain operation in a short time.
