Purification system of air separation equipment is the core of raw air advanced treatment. Based on the adsorption separation principle, the double-column alternate mode is matched to achieve impurity removal and continuous gas supply, which guarantees the follow-up low-temperature rectification process. Its core task is to remove water, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon in the air, prevent impurities from freezing and blocking the equipment at low temperature and avoid potential safety hazards.
The feed air after precooling and pressurization first enters the adsorption tower. Molecular sieve or activated alumina adsorbent in the column, with selective adsorption characteristics, preferentially captures polar molecules, quickly absorbs water and carbon dioxide, and at the same time, deeply removes impurities such as methane and acetylene, so as to ensure that the outlet air meets the requirements of low temperature working conditions.
When the adsorption of a tower is saturated, the switching valve will automatically switch the working condition, and the tower enters the regeneration process: the regeneration heater heats the inert gas, the high temperature promotes the desorption of adsorbed impurities, and the performance of the adsorbent is restored; The cooler then cools the gas to adsorption conditions and is ready for the next operation. The other tower starts adsorption synchronously to realize circulation alternation.
The control system monitors the pressure, temperature and impurity content in real time, automatically regulates the parameters and switching period, and realizes the automatic operation of the whole process. High-efficiency and stable operation of the whole system is the key guarantee for continuous and safe operation of air separation equipment, which can deliver qualified air for subsequent processes.
