Air separation BOT service refers to a service form in which private enterprises participate in the investment, construction, and operation of air separation plants (air separation equipment) through the "Build-Operate-Transfer" (BOT) model, and transfer the facilities to the government or designated institutions free of charge upon the end of the franchise period.
Construction phase: The enterprise is responsible for the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of the air separation unit, ensuring that the equipment meets technical specifications (such as oxygen purity, production capacity, etc.). Operation phase: During the franchise period (usually 10-30 years), the enterprise has the right to operate, recovering investment and earning profits by selling products such as oxygen and nitrogen to users or providing industrial gas supply services. Transfer phase: Upon the expiration of the franchise period, the enterprise is required to transfer the equipment free of charge and ensure that its performance meets the standards agreed upon in the contract (such as energy consumption, reliability, etc.).
Air separation equipment is a key infrastructure in industries such as chemical, steel, and electronics. It features high technical complexity, large investment scale (with a single unit potentially costing hundreds of millions of yuan), and a long operational cycle. The Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model alleviates the initial investment pressure on the government or enterprises by introducing private capital, while leveraging the technical and management capabilities of professional operators to enhance operational efficiency.
