When the pre cooling system of the air separation equipment malfunctions, the following measures can be taken to ensure that the air separation unit can maintain short-term operation and restore normal operation as soon as possible:
1. Moderate reduction of air volume: By adjusting the intake valve, the amount of air entering the air separation equipment can be appropriately reduced to alleviate the load on the pre cooling system, especially the molecular sieve adsorber.
2. Shorten adsorption cycle: Adjust the adsorption cycle of the molecular sieve adsorber to ensure that it operates within the allowable adsorption capacity range and prevent a decrease in adsorption efficiency due to prolonged adsorption time.
3. Monitoring carbon dioxide content: closely monitor the carbon dioxide content in the air at the outlet of the adsorber to ensure that it is within the specified range (such as below 1 × 10 ^ -6 or below 1ppm), and prevent carbon dioxide from entering the main heat exchanger and distillation tower and causing blockage.
4. Adjust nitrogen flow rate: Reduce the product nitrogen flow rate appropriately, while increasing the nitrogen flow rate of the decontamination nitrogen cooling tower to lower the temperature of the cooling water, which can help improve the pre cooling effect.
5. Increasing the flow rate of cooling water: Increasing the flow rate of ordinary cooling water can improve the heat dissipation efficiency of the pre cooling system and help reduce the system temperature.
