The water supply source of air cooling column in precooling system equipment is cooling water pump, and water cooling column is supplied by chilled water pump. Their structures and principles are described as follows:

1.Design structure: the most basic components inside the centrifugal pump are high speed impeller and fixed volute pump case. Generally, the impeller with several (4 ~ 12) backward curved blades is fixed on the pump shaft and driven by the motor to rotate with the pump shaft at high speed. The work done by these impellers will directly act on the liquid in the pump body, which is the energy supply source device of centrifugal pump.

2.Principle: after the centrifugal pump is started, the pump shaft directly drives the reverse curved impeller to move at high speed, squeezing the pre filled liquid between the reverse curved spaces of the blade to rotate. Under the high-speed centrifugal force formed by the movement of the pump shaft, the liquid moves radially from the center of the impeller to the periphery. When the liquid is pushed through the impeller by the force, it carries kinetic energy. The static pressure energy increases and the flow rate increases. When the liquid in the pump body enters the pump shell, the liquid will slow down due to the gradual expansion of the flow path in the shell. At this time, the static pressure energy is converted from kinetic energy, and the fluid finally enters the discharge pipeline along the tangential direction under the action of static pressure energy. Under the action of potential energy difference, the liquid is inhaled and discharged continuously.

When the amount of processing air is reduced, the rising steam and reflux liquid in the upper column will be reduced, but the reflux ratio will not change. Therefore, the reduction of processing air in a small range will not affect the purity of oxygen and nitrogen, and the reduction of processing air volume will help to reduce the pressure of the upper and lower columns. However, according to the material balance, the production of oxygen and nitrogen will naturally decrease when the amount of processing air is reduced. If the amount of processing air is too small, there will be leakage on the tray. If the heat and mass exchange of the leaked liquid is not sufficient, the purity of oxygen and nitrogen will be greatly affected, and even the normal production can not be realized. Therefore, the minimum allowable load of distillation column is generally specified.
