The cold box of air separation equipment is the core area of air separation. Its core value lies in providing stable and efficient operating conditions for air deep separation by sealing the low-temperature environment and integrating key systems such as heat exchange, rectification, refrigeration and liquid treatment. It is the key point for modern air separation units to produce industrial gases such as high purity oxygen and nitrogen.
The inside of the cold box is equipped with plate-fin heat exchanger, which can realize deep air cooling and efficient cold recovery, greatly reduce the energy consumption of the system and lay a low temperature foundation for the subsequent separation process. High-pressure rectifying column is the core separation component in the cold box. Relying on the difference of boiling points of oxygen and nitrogen, the high-accuracy separation of air is completed by means of vapor-liquid countercurrent contact, so as to ensure the purity of the produced gas meets the standard.
At the same time, the expander in the cold box provides the key low-temperature cooling capacity for the system to ensure that the whole unit is continuously in a stable cryogenic working condition. In addition, the cold box is equipped with professional low-temperature pipeline, valve and liquid storage and transportation system, forming a sealed, safe and efficient low-temperature separation unit, effectively avoiding cold loss and external interference, ensuring long-term stable operation of air separation equipment, and highlighting its core leading role in the air separation process.
