Recently, phased good news came from the site of DEAR Air Separation's Indonesia self-operated gas island project. The project team prioritized the completion of the standby system construction, successfully realized test gas supply in one attempt, and smoothly produced qualified oxygen. All process parameters and gas purity fully meet the design indicators.
This project is a key gas island project deployed by DEAR Air Separation in Southeast Asia, supporting and serving a steel manufacturing enterprise in Indonesia. To meet the customer's gas demand as early as possible, the project adopts the promotion strategy of "putting the standby system into operation first while installing the main cryogenic unit simultaneously". At present, the standby system has taken the lead in completing commissioning and realizing gas supply, which can provide industrial gases such as oxygen, nitrogen and argon for the steel smelting process in advance; meanwhile, the installation of the main equipment of the complete cryogenic Air Separation unit is still advancing in an orderly manner.
During the project construction, the team faced multiple challenges such as the local rainy season climate, limited construction conditions and tight cross-border logistics cycles. DEAR Air Separation coordinated the technical, commissioning and project management forces at home and abroad, allocated resources scientifically, took the standby system as the priority construction node, strictly implemented key processes such as equipment commissioning, interlock verification, system purging and cold test run, and relied on the mature cryogenic rectification process to ensure that the standby system took the lead in meeting the gas supply conditions and was successfully put into operation in one attempt.
This unit adopts energy-saving cryogenic Air Separation technology, integrates DEAR's self-developed Lan'an intelligent operation and maintenance platform, and is equipped with intelligent functions such as remote monitoring, variable load adjustment and energy consumption optimization. It is low-carbon and environmentally friendly, and is a benchmark project for the integrated overseas expansion of domestic Air Separation equipment with "equipment + operation services". At present, the standby system has entered the gas supply verification stage, and the installation of the main cryogenic unit is accelerating as planned, and the overall joint commissioning will be carried out in the follow-up.
The successful preceding gas supply of the standby system marks that the project has begun to produce phased results during the construction period, laying a solid foundation for the overall commissioning after the completion of the main cryogenic unit, and also providing practical guarantee for customers to use gas in advance. The project team of DEAR Air Separation will continue to be stationed at the site, and while ensuring the stable operation of the standby system, go all out to promote the installation of the main cryogenic unit and the subsequent commissioning work.
