In the whole set of air separation equipment, the cold box of air separation equipment is the core area of air separation, with heat exchange, rectification, refrigeration and liquid treatment systems integrated inside. Under ultra-low temperature environment, it can complete high efficiency purification and separation of air and transport high purity gas for industrial production.
The rectification tower is the core, which realizes low-temperature rectification and separation by making use of the boiling point difference between oxygen and nitrogen through the internal precise gas-liquid counter-current contact, accurately refining the high-purity oxygen and nitrogen, and synchronously separating the rare gas argon, which directly determines the purity and quality of the produced gas and is the key link of air separation. The main heat exchanger is responsible for cold and heat exchange, recovery of cooling capacity, reduction of energy consumption, guarantee efficient operation of the unit and help the air separation unit to realize energy conservation and efficient operation, and maintain low temperature working condition inside the cold box. The condensate evaporator is connected to the upper and lower columns to realize the gas-liquid heat exchange and circulation, which is the key to stable operation of rectification. There are also subcoolers, liquefiers, etc. to further reduce the cold loss and improve the liquid output. The key to stable gas production of the whole air separation system is that these components work together to complete efficient air separation in ultra-low temperature environment.
It is the tacit cooperation and efficient operation of these core components that enable the cold box to have a stable air separation capacity and become the fundamental guarantee for stable gas production and reliable operation of the entire air separation system.
