During the operation and maintenance of air separation equipment, the sudden drop of main cooling liquid level is an emergency and can be eliminated according to the following steps.
Check the instrument display first. Confirm that the level gauge is working properly and check for fault codes or abnormal indications. Compare the on-site liquid level gauge with other relevant liquid level monitoring data, if the deviation is large, it may be caused by the liquid level gauge failure, which shall be calibrated or replaced in time to ensure that accurate liquid level information is obtained.
Troubleshoot the leakage. The main cooling equipment body, pipe connection and valve sealing are all key inspection parts. Smear the possible leakage part with soapy water and observe whether there is bubble; The professional leak detector can also be used to improve the troubleshooting efficiency. In case of leakage, measures such as fastening and repair welding shall be taken immediately.
Pay attention to the liquid inlet. Check whether the opening of liquid air and liquid oxygen inlet valves is proper, and whether the liquid inlet pipe is blocked, which can be judged by observing the change of liquid inlet pressure and flow. At the same time, confirm the operating state of the liquid inlet pump. If the pump fails, the liquid inlet will be insufficient, and it shall be repaired or replaced in time.
Analyze operating factors. Review recent operating records for excessive venting, large fluctuations in operating pressure, etc. If any, the operating parameters shall be adjusted in time to stabilize the operation of the equipment and gradually restore the main cooling liquid level to normal, so as to ensure the safe and stable production of the air separation equipment.
