Under certain conditions, the unit volume of the packing layer, the volume of liquid accumulated on the surface of the packing and in the packing void is the liquid holding capacity of the packing. The liquid-holding capacity of the filler is related to the shape and size of the filler, the nature of the filler, the surface characteristics of the filler and so on, also is influenced by the gas-liquid two-phase physical properties, the structure of the tower and the tower operating conditions. In practice, when the air velocity is lower than 70% of the pan point, the liquid load and filler size, material on the amount of liquid holding influence is obvious. When the air velocity exceeds 70% of the pan point, the liquid holding capacity increases significantly with the increase in air velocity.
Dear Air Separation has five technical leaders and more than 80 scientific and technical workers. The centre takes advantages of each technical teams in terms of design and research large air separation untis and small air separation units and liquid air separation plants.
