A decrease in atmospheric pressure increases the compression ratio of the air compressor of liquid air separation plant. A decrease in atmospheric pressure increases the compression ratio of the air compressor by 6-8% and increase the energy consumption for compression. In addition, due to the increased mass to volume ratio (reduced density), the exhaust volume of the air compressor will be reduced and the relative oxygen production will be reduced, increasing the unit electricity consumption of oxygen production.
The impact of ambient temperature, air humidity, air impurities on the performance of liquid air separation plant.
1) Influence of ambient temperature. An increase in ambient temperature will reduce the exhaust volume of the air compressor and increase the shaft power. An increase in ambient temperature of 3°C will increase the shaft power by about 1%. In addition, an increase in ambient temperature will increase the exhaust temperature of the air compressor and increase the cooling loss, requiring more cooling capacity to balance the cooling loss, which will eventually lead to an increase in energy consumption.
2) Impact of air humidity. The humidity of the air increases, so that part of the work done by the compressor is consumed in compressing water vapour, causing the shaft power of the air compressor to increase.
3) The impact of impurities in the air. The increase in the content of impurities in the air makes the load of the molecular sieve adsorber purification increase.
According to the parameters of environmental conditions, Dear Air designs technical solutions for air separation plant and manufactures high quality small air spearation unit and large air separation unit and liquid air separation plant to meet customer needs.
