The infuser nozzle of the expander commonly has two kinds:

Tight type nozzle and shrinkage expansion type nozzle, the gas flows through the nozzle, due to the shape of the nozzle will cause the flow rate of the gas to increase, the gas in the infuser does not receive external work, the kinetic energy increase can only rely on the consumption of internal energy, so the gas temperature will be reduced. For the gas, the pressure decreases, the volume flow rate also increases, when the gas flow rate exceeds the speed of sound , the volume flow rate increases very quickly, and the flow needs to be brought to the design of the un-accelerated energy to meet the requirements of accelerated flow. So when the differential pressure is large, it is to use the expansion type nozzle.
