The liquid oxygen pump is a kind of low temperature liquid pump. It is used as the liquid oxygen circulating pump in the main condensing evaporator in the internal compressed air separation process to increase the pressure of liquid oxygen and output liquid oxygen.
Each set of internal compression process air separation plant is generally equipped with two liquid oxygen pumps, one for operation and one for standby. The operation of the liquid oxygen pump has a great impact on the operation quality of the air separation plant, and plays a key role. How to extend the operation period of the liquid oxygen pump is a subject that every air separation user pays much attention to and explores continuously.
After years of working practice, the technical personnel of DEAR air separation summarized the following experiences:
1.Before the start-up of the liquid oxygen pump, strict electrical instrument inspection shall be carried out to confirm that the turning gear is normal, and the liquid oxygen pump shall be pre-cooled to ensure that the temperature of impeller, shaft, seal ring and other components of the liquid oxygen pump is cooled to the working temperature before the start-up.
2.Strictly control the seal air pressure difference index during operation: the high orlow pressureof seal gas in the high-pressure liquid oxygen pump is very important for the stable operation of the liquid oxygen pump.
If the seal gas pressure is too high, the gas entering the pump body will easily lead to gas etching; if the seal gas pressure is too low, the liquid oxygen will easily leak out.
3.During the start-up process, it shouldbe paidclose attention to the electric current of the liquid oxygen pump, bearing temperature, seal gas pressure difference, temperature of seal gas and leakage gas and other parameters.
When the parameters fluctuate greatly, it should be taken relevant treatment measures in time.
4.After pre-cooling of the standby pump, the exhaust valve of the pump body and the blow afterpumpingvalve are slightly opened and in standby state at any time.
Through the application of the above methods and the implementation of the optimized operation, the operation cycle of the liquid oxygen pump will be greatly extended, providing a reliable guarantee for the safe operation of the air separation plant.
