Generally, the amount of oxygen we call refers to the volume under standard atmospheric pressure (Φ0.1mpa). For the oxygen storage tank of 1Oom3, 100m3 of oxygen of 0.1MPa (under atmospheric pressure) can be stored.
As the volume of gas decreases with the increase of pressure, that is, with the increase of absolute pressure, more gas can be contained in the same gas storage tank. When the pressure is not too high and the temperature is not too low, there is a simple relationship among the pressure, temperature, volume and mass of the gas, which is called the ideal gas state equation and can be expressed

When the volume and temperature of the gas storage tank remain unchanged, then
M2/M1 = P2/P1
When the pressure of the oxygen storage tank rises to the surface pressure of 3.0MPa, the pressure inside the tank is 31 times of the original (3.0 0.1) MPa/0.1MPa =, that is, the quality of oxygen inside the tank is 31 times of the original, that is to say, the volume under normal pressure is 3100m3.
Because users of oxygen have certain requirements on oxygen supply pressure, when using oxygen storage tank to supply oxygen, the maximum pressure will be reduced to the minimum pressure required by users. If the minimum pressure of the converter oxygen is 1.2 MPa surface pressure, there will be 100m3 × (1.2 0.1) MPa/0.1MPa = 1300 m in the final tank. Leave the oxygen in the tank, and the actual amount of oxygen supplied is (3100-1300) m3 = 1800 M3. The higher the inflating pressure is, the lower the pressure the users need, the more oxygen the storage tank with a certain volume can supply. But the inflating pressure is limited by the strength of the oxygen storage tank and cannot exceed the allowable pressure designed. Therefore, the gas that each oxygen storage tank can store and supply is limited.
