Today, Kaifeng DEAR Air Separation Industrial Co., Ltd. and Changzhi Jinrui Chemical Co., Ltd. officially signed a cooperation agreement in Xiangyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Changzhi City, to jointly invest in and construct a project for the purification of 12,000 tons of natural fatty alcohols per year. This move marks DEAR Air Separation's formal entry into the fine chemical industry, extending its industrial chain to布局 (Note: "布局" here is better translated as "develop" in context) develop high-value-added products and injecting new momentum into the regional green chemical industry.
The signing ceremony was personally presided over by Jia Xiaowei, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Xiangyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone. Wu Di, Managing Director of DEAR Air Separation, and Ma Jinxi, Chairman of Changzhi Jinrui Chemical, signed the agreement as representatives of both parties. This project aligns with the development positioning of the economic and technological development zone, which emphasizes "green, low-carbon, and innovation-driven" growth. It will leverage local resource advantages and policy support to help enterprises establish industry benchmarks. Meanwhile, DEAR Air Separation will fully utilize its accumulated expertise in process technology and international supply chains to collaborate with Jinrui Chemical in achieving full-chain synergy across "raw materials, technology, and market."
The project will leverage the resource advantages of palm oil and coconut oil from overseas bases such as DEAR Air Separation's Indonesian subsidiary. Through core processes including esterification, dewaxing, hydrolysis separation, and distillation, it will extract (C8—C14) low-carbon natural higher fatty alcohols. As a key ingredient in cosmetics and daily chemical products, these alcohols can be widely applied in liquid soaps, ointments, toothpaste, lotions, and other fields. Their natural and green characteristics serve as a substitute for traditional petrochemical-based materials, meeting urgent market demands for environmentally friendly and safe ingredients.
In this collaboration, DEAR Air Separation leverages its control over overseas raw materials, while Jinrui Chemical relies on its local chemical industry foundation and market channels, forming a closed-loop advantage of "resources + technology + implementation." Upon completion, the project will provide critical support for building a green chemical industry cluster in Xiangyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone.
