Turbine expander uses compressed gas to enter expander under high pressure and expand to low pressure. From high-pressure and low-speed gas to low-pressure and high-speed gas, there is no heat exchange with the outside world in this process, so the positive process is adiabatic. After the gas passes through the expander, the energy will be reduced, and the reduced energy will be delivered in the form of work, thus reducing the internal energy and temperature of the working medium at the outlet of the expander. Most of the cooling capacity of air separation equipment is taken by expansion mechanism.
