Case of DEAR air separation and Hongxing Iron and Steel Company

DEAR air separation signed the KDON-16000/35000 air separation plant contract with Hongxing Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. The set of air separation plant was successfully started at first time, all indexes exceeded the design indexes, and the working condition was stable, and getting the unanimous approval of the Hongxing Steel Company.

The unit adopts molecular sieve purification, booster turbine expander to supply the cooling capacity of the unit. When the gas volume of expander is large, the liquid oxygen output can be increased when the oxygen is not used much, which is safe, reliable and economical. The main reasons are as follows:

1.Good safety

The whole set of device has the advantages of low operating pressure, simple process, high equipment safety, long switching cycle of molecular sieve system, increased service life of switching valve, and reduced potential hazards.

A large amount of liquid oxygen is extracted from the main cooling (K1) to minimize the possibility of hydrocarbon accumulation.

2.High reliability

A large amount of surplus nitrogen can be sent to the water cooling tower, reducing the load of the water chiller, reducing the energy consumption and cost of air separation, so that the reliability of the device is further improved.

3.Convenient operation and maintenanceandsimple process

Note: the unit of measurement Nm³/h is measured at 0 ℃, 0.1013Mpa (A). It is called standard state quantity.

1.1 Take oxygen and nitrogen at different times

1.2 Operation cycle (interval between two large heating): ≥ two years

1.3 Heating and uncooling time of the device: ~ 36 hours

1.4 Starting time of the device (from the start of expander to the purity of oxygen product): ~ 40 hours
