The biogas produced by anaerobic digestion unit is a mixed gas containing saturated water vapor. In addition to gas fuel CH4 and inert gas CO2, it also contains a certain proportion of H2S, H2O, a small amount of NH3, H2, N2, O2, CO and halogenated hydrocarbons. Methane purification and liquefaction refers to the extraction of CH4 from biogas to remove other gases.
